Duane Shimogawa, of Pacific Business News, recently reported that OIiverMcMillan might be joining the development team to build Aloha Kai.
Located Atkinson Drive, Aloha Kai, will be a mix-use condo located at site of the YMCA of Honolulu Central Branch.
According to the current developers, MB Property Acquisitions LLC and Tama Home, Aloha Kai could start later this year. In addition to the 117-residential units, Aloha Kai is planning to construct a new 30,000 SF FT. YMCA Central Branch.
It’s expected that Aloha Kai will only have 4 units per floor. The Honolulu City Council agreed to change the zoning for the property to allow for a high rise to be built. This would be first new residential building on Atkinson Drive in the past 40 years.
Prices are still to be determined.
